Pipe Shelfie!

When I was first asked to make this pipe shelf, I was extremely excited and could not wait to get down to Florida to work. My parents have been renovating a house in FL for quite some time now and they needed me to add some finishing touches. They gave me some ideas (colors, themes, simplicity, etc.) and I drew up some renderings that I thought would fit the style they were looking for. I was all set and ready to head down south.

Once I arrived, I was told I had to wait for the walls to be painted. The anticipation was killing me!! After a while, the walls were finally dry and I got to work!

I laid out the pipes and boards a few different ways until I was pleased with the composition. Once I was happy, I started drilling into the wall. Wow... the inside of this wall is a mess! It's like a box of chocolates... all the beams are different sizes and some don't line up right... you never know what you're gonna get! Fortunately for me, everything went according to plan and I had no trouble mounting the shelves.

The best feeling was when I told my mother I was finished. I was a little worried knowing she is OCD and would want to keep straightening the shelves, but phew! She LOVED it!! What a great project. I love making people happy... it's kind of my thing :)

Now I hope you all like it as well.

Contact me if you like what you see.
